Leon Toppin is a professional skateboard instructor with 20+ years of experience teaching kids, teens, adults, and families across Westchester, NYC, and western Connecticut. He provides private one-on-one lessons, group sessions, and skateboard birthday parties at local skate parks, schoolyards, driveways, and outdoor spaces. Leon works with beginners as young as age 3 through adults of any age. Every lesson is personalized — he starts by understanding where each student is and what they want to learn, then builds a plan around their comfort level and goals. For nervous or first-time skaters, lessons begin with balance, stance, and confidence on flat ground. No one gets pushed beyond what they're ready for. Leon is GoSkate certified, has appeared on HBO's Betty and in Hypebeast's Vans Full Cab feature, and brings that creative energy into his teaching. He treats skateboarding as a form of self-expression, not just a sport.
